Another rain-shortened event has been claimed by a player using a SuperStroke putter grip. The Asian Tour played the Johor Open and a 32-year-old Spaniard claimed his 2nd win of 2012 using a SuperStroke Ultra Slim.
The 2012 Wyndham trusted his Ultra Slim, shooting a final round 61 needing only 25 putts. The Ultra Slim, 1.00″ in diameter, gave the 8-time PGA Tour winner more confidence on the greens on his record-setting round final round.
“The most important thing about playing under these kinds of conditions is to keep the momentum going especially with so much disruption. It’s hard to keep up mentally and I sort of did that yesterday morning where I finished poorly. But today, I came back strongly. I played very solid in my front-nine and made four in a row in the back-nine to give myself a nice solid lead going into the last two holes,” said the Spaniard.
