Corning, CA- Isaac “Sasquatch” Sanchez, one of The Golf Channel’s star athletes in The Big Break Greenbrier series, is wearing “a new hat” as the 2013 ambassador athlete for the nationally-ranked golf course, Sevillano Links at Rolling Hills Casino in Corning, CA.
Sanchez, a Nor Cal-based professional golfer, who currently ranks amongst the top-10 on the Pepsi Tour (and whose greatest desire is to earn a PGA Tour card someday) competed diligently in The Golf Channel’s Big Break Greenbrier series, advancing through 10 of 11 highly arduous skill competitions.
“It was an experience of a lifetime and one that I will never forget,” shared Sanchez. “I enjoyed the constant competitiveness that the Big Break series offers, but of equal importance are the people I’ve met and the friendships that continue to be forged through this great game of golf. I look forward to even more amazing experiences in golf through my role as an ambassador athlete for Sevillano Links.”
In addition to his golf and community advocacy work through Sevillano Links, in 2013 Sanchez will compete in various tournaments (i.e. on the Hooters Tour, Canadian PGA Tour, and Pepsi Tour) and will also make celebrity golf appearances where he’ll provide insight into his interesting life and recent Big Break experience. Sanchez, who is 315 lbs and stands 6’6” tall, suffered from a serious tumor in his youth which caused him to grow exceedingly. Today, he experiences some joint and body pain but it does not prevent him from giving-it-all-he’s-got when teeing it up professionally or even socially with family and friends. No matter what, Sanchez holds true to his motto: Be. Do. Have.
