The new knitwear range, which utilizes a special water repellent finish that results in light rain beading off the surface, is believed to be the first to be manufactured using 100% premium quality British lambswool that is also total easy care.
The 2/17Nm lambswool (New metric – two pieces of fine quality yarn twisted together) produces a premium handle garment that is highly durable with minimal piling. Its total easy care performance means it is machine washable and “tumble dry friendly”. In fact, tumble drying and a warm press after washing positively enhances the garment’s water repellency.
“While water repellent lambswool garments have previously been available for a variety of outdoor sports and pursuits, this is the first time such a high quality yarn and knit has been produced with total easy care,” said Peter Dalton, ProQuip USA’s CEO.
