Akira Golf, a division of Akira Limited – the Japanese multinational corporation and conglomerate, is set to make its presence felt a lot more in Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia. A golf brand with a full line of products, ranging from golf equipment to apparel, Akira’s product line comprises the ADR Premium – a high-end model, the ADR – the mid-segment model and the TM or Tour Model for tournament and low handicap players.
On a recent visit to Kuala Lumpur, Akira Products President Naoki Kuriyama said they were encouraged by the potential for expansion in both Malaysia and the region as a whole and added that they looked forward to growing their brand here even further.
“We have been monitoring our progress here and in Southeast Asia generally,” said Naoki, “and we have now decided to expand our position here in alliance with MST GOLF, who have been outstanding.”
Akira is also gearing themselves to strengthening their support for custom-fitting by making available an Akira Prototype that is presently being used at Akira workshops throughout Japan. Also available from the Japan Company is the Akira Vintage; a super premium model and Akira AR package sets for high handicappers and beginners.
MST GOLF being Akira Golf’s key partner in SEA is buoyant about Akira’s stated decision to enhance their position in the region.
