NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (Jan. 8, 2013) – AHEAD®, the highly regarded headwear, accessories and apparel manufacturer, will unveil its Summer / Fall ’13 apparel offering at the 60th PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 24-26 in Orlando, Fla.
According to Bill Godden, director of apparel, the company will show its AHEAD, Kate Lord and PGA Authentic lines, as well as reintroduce some of the most popular Spring ’13 items.
“Our apparel is all about great quality at an affordable price,” Godden said. “We pride ourselves on the ornamentation of our products.”
At the PGA Show, AHEAD will introduce new thermal regulation pieces, including a half-zip pullover mock that will be offered in three shades of heather, all with rich hues: marine (deep blue), platinum (grey) and ruby (deep red). Constructed of a MicroCD polyester spandex blend, the pieces feature a half-zip front placket with a top zipper garage and contrast back neck taping. The thermal regulation offering complements AHEAD’s existing sun protection offerings.
The half-zip gets matched up with full-zip soft shell vest, and is offered in marine, platinum and black. These pieces combine to create a thermal layering system.
The PGA Show also will mark AHEAD’s debut of new “sun-washed” colors of thistle (medium lavender), oasis blue (rich medium ocean blue) and kelly green. These colors have been added to key styles as well as a several new polo styles.
Godden called the Kate Lord line’s introduction of a new heather pullover as a “luxurious addition at a great price.” The pullover is constructed of a rayon, polyester, Lycra knit in rich colors, including wisteria (lilac), charcoal (grey), azul (turquoise), and Pacific (blue). The piece comes with a half-zip placket with zipper garage, tonal stitching and princess seams.
Another debut from the Kate Lord line is a pre-packaged color way – salsa, azul and navy – which consists of a well-merchandised assortment of between 18-27 pieces ranging from sleeveless to short-sleeve to a three-quarter sleeve in six different styles and sizes.
AHEAD continues to expand its PGA Authentic line with gingham woven in three-color ways – links (green), Tuscan (red) and navy. Indicative of the extra touch areas suitable for ornamentation, all pieces feature contrast inside neck trim and under cuff contrast. In addition, new performance polos to be introduced for Fall ’13 include a jersey yarn dye feed stripe, a solid pique with a retro-sleeve insert, long sleeve jersey mock neck, as well as new outerwear pieces including pullover and a striped fleece jacket.
“Priced in the $60-$65 range, these PGA Authentic pieces are a marriage of excellent value with great quality,” Godden said.
