Introduction of KemperCollection expands KemperSports’ network of private clubs
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Jan. 9, 2013 – KemperSports, the most trusted name in golf, has been selected as the Club Management Company of the Year for 2012 by BoardRoom magazine in the publication’s annual Excellence in Achievement awards. The 2012 Excellence in Achievement awards will be presented in sixty categories during the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) World Conference in San Diego, Feb. 7-11.
KemperSports was nominated for this award after an extensive review process by a panel of experts in the private club industry. According to BoardRoom magazine, the selection of the Club Management Company of the Year award is heavily weighted on the intangible values that a management company creates, on an ongoing basis, at a club. With this in mind, KemperSports was chosen for its ability to deliver a high-level of member service to enhance the member experience at all of its clubs.
“Private clubs today are facing challenges like never before,” said Steve Skinner, chief executive officer of KemperSports. “We’ve customized our management solutions to meet the unique needs of club members and owners and strive to be a trusted resource for private club boards. It is an honor to receive this award from BoardRoom magazine.”
KemperSports’ private club division, KemperCollection, was developed in 2012 to formalize and grow the company’s private club portfolio. In the last year, KemperCollection has added a number of new private clubs to its management roster including most recently Rockledge Country Club in Rockledge, Fla., Quail Lodge Golf Club in Carmel, Calif., Andover Golf & Country Club in Lexington, Ky., and Victory Ranch Club in Kamas, Utah.
BoardRoom magazine, the official publication for the Association of Private Club Directors (APCD), announced its 13th annual awards in the November/December issue of the magazine to recognize vendors, consultants and educators in the private club business for their impact and contributions to the club industry. Winners of the Excellence in Achievement awards are selected by BoardRoom magazine’s industry peers and experts for overall excellence in their respective fields, achievements, innovation, vision for future growth and continued impact on private club operations.
