BALTIMORE, MD. – January 4, 2013 – STX Golf, known for producing classically inspired putters with a modern style, announced today that the company will be launching an entirely new series of putters which incorporate their patented F.E.E.L. Technology inserts with a bold and edgy insert color and deep black finish – the Pitch Black Series.
According to STX Golf Marketing Manager Jason Dengler, “As with all of STX Putters, the Pitch Black Series feature innovative designs, materials and appointments but what separates these new putters is their overall appeal. The black grip, shaft and head create a one piece appearance while the insert color and accents project from the head for unparalleled aesthetics and alignment.”
The stealth-like, Pitch Black 1 Putter is a compact, perimeter weighted blade using both modern and classic design elements. The Black, slightly off-center shaft provides a tour inspired visual setup while ensuring 30 degrees of toe hang for the vast majority of players’ strokes. Its STX signature Roll Pocket on the sole elevates the center of gravity which promotes a quicker forward roll. This model weights approximately 345 grams and is complimented with a black players grip.
“We believe retailers will position the new Pitch Black Series in alignment with the Sync Series – currently our best seller,” added Dengler.
The Pitch Black 1 Putter features a brightly colored electric yellow, soft insert that literally jumps off the black head.
This Soft Insert Technology is called “F.E.E.L.” – Friction Enhancing Elastomer Layer This patented STX technology dramatically increases the coefficient of friction to put a greater amount of forward spin on the ball and keep your putts on line. The Soft Face Insert keeps the ball in contact with the putter longer to also provide superior directional control, decreased ball skid and reduced ball deformation.
