To sell their 25th anniversary commemorative book
January 8, 2013 (PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL) -The PGA TOUR Wives Association will be making its debut at this year’s PGA SHOW at BOOTH 602, next to the PGA Forum Stage. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Association has published BEYOND THE FAIRWAYS AND GREENS; A Look Inside the Lives of PGA TOUR Families. This coffee table book commemorates 25 years of the Association’s charitable outreach and showcases the impact it has in the lives of children. It provides a glimpse inside the lives of PGA TOUR families and includes never before published stories, photos and favorite recipes from golf families including the Nicklaus’, Palmers, Mickelson’s, Donald’s, Perry’s, Rickie Fowler and 2012 FedEx Champion Brandt Snedeker, among many others.
“The energy and enthusiasm the wives have for this project is like nothing I have ever seen before,” says Amy Wilson, wife of five-time PGA TOUR champion Mark Wilson, and president of the Association. “The ladies have literally opened their homes and shared their stories and their photo albums providing readers a snapshot of life outside the ropes on TOUR. They want readers to join them in understanding how important it is to help those in need and the impact everyone can make to better the lives of children who need assistance. It’s about lending a hand to those less fortunate in the communities where our husbands play.”
This book is a unique gift idea for sponsors, pro-am contestants, and corporate outings, as well as a great addition to any pro-shop. By ordering during the PGA Show, attendees will receive the following discount:
•A 30% discount off the $50 retail price for orders placed at the show.
•An additional 5% discount for orders placed by PGA of America members (proof of membership required).
•100% of the net proceeds from the purchase of this book will support PGA TOUR Wives Association designated children’s charities in communities across the United States and beyond.
In addition to selling the book, PTWA members and some of their husbands will be teaming up with Kitchen Aid, in Booth 600, to conduct cooking demonstrations throughout the show to showcase some of the families’ recipes included in the back of the book.
