The Sony Open, played at Waialae Country Club, was the first full-field event of the 2013 PGA Tour season. Players using SuperStroke putter grips were a constant on the leader board with three players finishing T20 for the event.
Each T20 finisher used a different SuperStroke offering, a Fiji-born player used the 17″ Slim belly, an Arizona Wildcat prefers the new Mid Slim 2.0, and the 2009 PGA Championship winner chooses the Slim 3.0. This shows that SuperStroke technology can be found in each of the grips and can make all players improve their putting.
Over in Durban, South Africa, the European Tour played the Volvo Golf Champions at Durban County Club. The winner of the 2012 Nelson Mandela Championship continued his hot streak, finishing 2nd place at the Volvo. This Scottish-born player has now finished in the top-3 in each of the last 3 events while using his SuperStroke Slim 3.0. The Slim 3.0 had helped the Scotland native take over the lead in the Race to Dubai.
The PGA Tour will now turn its attention to the Humana Challenge over at PGA West in La Quinta, CA.
