CHICAGO, IL (January 17, 2013) – Golf to End Cancer (G2EC), a program of Marathon of Miracles, is set to exhibit at next week’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla. Attendees may visit G2EC at booth #1493 to enjoy seated massages, reflexology massages, mini yoga lessons, samples of Marathon of Miracles all-natural energy bars and information on G2EC programs like Miracle Wellness Days and the new G2EC Putting Challenge.

In addition, G2EC Founder and author A.J. Ali will be there signing copies of his “True Champion’s 30-Day Challenge” book to raise money to help golf industry families affected by cancer.

“We are looking forward to a truly great PGA Show,” said G2EC Executive Director Ed Woronicz. “We have set up meetings with many of the industry’s most influential executives including equipment and apparel manufacturers, as well as meetings with many of the game’s most respected organizations and associations. The purpose of which is to create strategic partnerships promoting Golf To End Cancer. It is very, very exciting.”

G2EC launched at the 2011 PGA Fall Expo in Las Vegas as a way to promote the efforts of individuals and organizations in the golf industry to create a cancer-free world through its networking web site (www.golftoendcancer.com), corporate partnerships, and at Miracle Wellness Day events. Since the launch, the group has reached thousands of individuals in the golf

industry with a common goal to end cancer, including golfers, golf courses, golf professionals, golf manufacturers or distributors, and retailers.

“The support that G2EC has received since early November has been truly overwhelming and humbling,” said Woronicz. “We continue to look for ways to bring wellness to those in the golf industry in hopes of a cancer-free world. In fact, just this week we partnered with a firm that provides us access to a clean database of 3.2 million golfers, plus social media access on Facebook and Twitter to an additional 700,000+ new and ‘wannabe’ golfers!”

“In addition to the message of health, wellness, and cancer prevention thru education, G2EC is committed to growing the game by promoting the PGA’s ‘Get Golf Ready’ program to those who attend Miracle Wellness Days and who do not currently play. The game can certainly use new golfers, and in our own small way we are creating them,” said Woronicz.

G2EC invites individuals to join its social networking site which offers wellness tips, cancer prevention articles and videos, event listings, and product reviews. Basic membership is free, and is open to all in the golf industry, including golfers, golf courses, golf professionals, golf manufacturers or distributors, and retailers. Once a golfer creates a profile on the G2EC site, he or she can create a “My Page” which allows sharing of blog posts, pictures, music, comments, events, and more. There is also a $99 annual VIP membership that awards extra benefits to the members.

Golf To End Cancer is actively looking for Area Directors as licensees in nearly every State. If you would like to join the G2EC community of golfers using the game of golf to promote awareness and help end cancer through wellness and cancer prevention, then please visit booth #1493 at new week’s PGA Show or visit the G2EC web site.

“When we created the G2EC program, it was our hope to use it as a vehicle to reach and influence leaders in corporate America, media, sports and Hollywood to start thinking about and promoting wellness and cancer prevention,” said A.J. Ali. “Golf is the great intersection of life and we are seeing incredible things happening with the program under Ed’s leadership.”

“Ed recently brought NFL Hall of Famer Chris Doleman into the picture. The big hearted Chris, along with former NFL player Andre Collins, have committed to being two of a projected 50 celebrity participants in a planned June 21 event taking place simultaneously at various venues throughout the country. We hope to raise more than $100,000 in one day on June 21st as golfers team up with their sports, music and Hollywood heroes to play 36, 54 or 72 holes of golf in a pledge-based ‘Marathon of Miracles’ event. There will also be athletes taking part in other marathon activities that day, such as walking, running, swimming, biking, Zumba and Yoga — but we expect the greatest participation to take place on the golf course, continued Ali.

“Golf To End Cancer would make a great strategic partner for anyone looking to grow the game of golf, promote initiatives of health, wellness, while at the same time growing their bottom line! 2013 is the year everybody with be asking… Do You Golf To End Cancer?,” said G2EC Executive Director Ed Woronicz.
