New service to the Grand Strand from Baltimore / Washington and Philadelphia
(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) — Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday announces Spirit Airlines is adding daily nonstop seasonal service from Baltimore / Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) starting April 25.
With approximate drive times to the Grand Strand of eight and 10 hours from the Baltimore and Philadelphia areas respectively, the 90-minute flight from both locales is a timesaver. The daily nonstop from BWI departs at 10:45 a.m. and 7:25 a.m. at PHL.

Spirit currently offers year-round daily nonstop service to Myrtle Beach from Atlantic City, Boston, Fort Lauderdale and New York LaGuardia. It also recently announced moving up the start dates for its 2013 seasonal service to / from Myrtle Beach just in time for the Valentine’s and President’s Day weekend, including:
• Daily nonstop service from Chicago O’Hare (ORD) as of Feb. 14
• Daily nonstop service from Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) beginning Feb. 14
• Three weekly nonstop flights from Latrobe / Pittsburgh, Pa. (LTB) starting Feb. 14, with service increasing to daily on April 24
• Two weekly nonstop flights from Niagara Falls, N.Y. / Toronto, Canada (IAG) starting Feb.15, with service increasing to four weekly flights on April 25
• Two weekly nonstop flights from Charleston, W.Va. (CRW) beginning March 2, with service increasing to three weekly flights on April 25
Additionally, effective April 25, Spirit resumes seasonal service from the Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Montreal, Canada (PBG) and Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW), both with three flights per week to Myrtle Beach.
