MEDINA, Minn., January 23, 2013 … River’s End Trading Company, one of the country’s leading suppliers of apparel and accessories to the golf and promotional products industries, today introduced a first-of-its-kind pocket embroidery innovation. The patent-pending new device establishes an industry standard, offering companies the most efficient ornamentation technique ever developed; it creates a wider embroidery field on the pocket of a woven shirt, adding actual corporate logos where only monogramming and initialing was previously possible.
The new proprietary innovation, which will be utilized on embroidery machines at River’s End Trading Company’s Clarksville, Tenn., facility, was engineered to enhance the precision and ease of pocket logo embroidery on iconic apparel brands such as Brooks Brothers (PGA Merchandise Show Booth #4173), Columbia (Booth #4179) and Page & Tuttle (Booth #4179), among others. This new technology, which expedites the production process and greatly reduces service lead times over the conventional “embroider, then sew-on pocket” technique, offers a turnkey solution for corporations with more intricate graphics & logos that were previously difficult to reproduce with traditional embroidery techniques. In fact, when using the device, which is three times more effective than commercially available clamping solutions, the ornamentation field on a pocket increases considerably from 1-inch maximum width to 3-inch maximum width, to more effectively accommodate a wider range of corporate logos.
“We are always seeking new techniques to enhance the ornamentation of a garment, and this new pocket embroidery device is truly a breakthrough innovation for the woven shirt market,” said Tim Klouda, President, River’s End Trading Company. “We’ve engineered a device that provides corporations in the promotional products and golf industries with an expanded embroidery field that goes beyond the standard 1-inch parameter. This allows for much greater aesthetic creativity with logos, but without compromising quality.”
Added Klouda, “Prior to this innovation, corporations had to settle for traditional above-the-pocket embroidery for their larger logos. With the introduction of this device, our customers are provided with a distinct new option. It’s refreshing to see the fine detail of a corporate logo on a pocket, as it makes you appreciate the aesthetic value of that positioning.”
