Orlando, FL … Award-winning golf industry veterans Kevin Hammock and Gary Diehl have announced the formation of Covenant Golf Management, a boutique full-service golf course management company providing personalized management solutions to owners and their courses in the East and Southeast regions of the U.S.
Hammock, a 25-year executive and former Vice President, Golf with Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton Company, was a key member of the executive team that launched Marriott Golf, led the launches of The Faldo Golf Institute by Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Golf, and oversaw the acquisition, development and operations of over 30 golf properties for the two companies. In addition to his golf course acquisition, management and marketing expertise, Hammock is recognized as a brand expert, and is a former PGA of America National Merchandiser of the Year. Additionally, Hammock is certified by Gallup as a Master Coach, with experience in use of Gallup’s Strength Finders program for personnel development, talent identification and personnel training programs.
Diehl has nearly 40 years of golf industry experience, including senior management and leadership positions with companies including Ram Golf, Rife Putters, Titleist by Corbin, Duckster, Star Knitwear and others in the industry. Prior to joining the golf industry, he was a successful sales and marketing executive with consumer products giant Colgate Palmolive.
“We are fully focused on growing our clients’ brands and business, rather than our own. We have no desire to be the biggest course management company – our target is to build a portfolio of 8-12 client courses, which we think we can achieve by putting our clients and their interests first at all times,” Hammock said.
