ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 30, 2013) – Deal Caddy, GolfNow’s social commerce website that helps courses market rounds, products and stay-and-play offers to a qualified database of golfers, generated $3.6 million in revenues for participating courses in 2012.
In addition to 122,000 rounds purchased through Deal Caddy, golfers also snapped up time-sensitive offers on subscriptions to golf publications, equipment and apparel along with stay-and-play packages at nationally known resorts.
Deal Caddy offers exclusive deals on rounds, products and travel from participating courses, manufacturers and resort destinations. As with other social commerce sites, golfers have a specific period of time to take advantage of the offer. Introduced in five markets in September, the program is now offered nationwide.
“Our objective is to make it easy and profitable for operators to participate in Deal Caddy,” said Greg Palmer, vice president of Integrated Product Sales for GolfNow. “Our database is made up of golfers from their local area, and our promotional support helps operators fill their tee sheets and bring golfers back to their course.”
In 2013, GolfNow will continue to promote Deal Caddy offers and support participating courses with digital and on-air broadcast advertising. GolfNow is part of Golf Channel Solutions, which offers services and tools that help golf course operators connect with golfers through a number of technology-driven marketing programs and platforms.
