(VIENNA, VA) – Billy Casper Golf (BCG) – owner and operator of 140 golf courses, country clubs and resorts – has promoted Nick Bednar, Ryan Phelps and Dan Zimmer to Regional Director of Operations positions.
All three excel in creating winning team cultures that deliver superior golfer-member experiences and, in turn, favorable economic returns for owners of golf properties.
In their new roles, Bednar, Phelps and Zimmer will assume greater responsibility in client relations, team leadership, budgeting and business planning, and liaising with the BCG corporate office.
Joining BCG in 2004 as Assistant Golf Professional at Billy Caldwell Golf Course (Chicago), Bednar ascended to General Manager of Bear Creek Golf Club (Dallas), significantly growing daily-fee and outing business by more than 10 percent annually. In 2010, he was promoted to Southeast / Ohio Valley Regional Manager, overseeing BCG properties in Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Phelps began his career with BCG in 2005 as Head Golf Professional of Bent Creek Golf Course (Jacksonville) followed by a stint as General Manager of Falmouth Golf Club (Massachusetts). In 2009, he was named Regional General Manager in the Northeast, overseeing three BCG properties in New York and Massachusetts before adding Connecticut, New Jersey and Pennsylvania as Northeast Regional Manager.
Zimmer rose the BCG ranks from General Manager of St. Johns Golf & Country Club (St. Augustine, FL) to Regional General Manager and then Florida Regional Manager. During his tenure at St. Johns, it earned a coveted “Top Ten in Customer Satisfaction” ranking from the National Golf Foundation. Zimmer is recognized for his commitment to grow the game of golf and unflappable management style contributing to achieving BCG properties’ goals.
