CHICAGO, Illinois (February 12, 2013) – World Golf Hall of Fame member Lanny Wadkins will appear Saturday, Feb. 23, at the 30th annual Chicago Golf presented by the BMW Championship at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.

A 21-time winner on the PGA Tour, including the 1977 PGA Championship, Wadkins captained the 1995 Ryder Cup team and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2009. He will appear at noon Saturday on the show’s Golf Academy Stage.

“The Chicago Golf Show is thrilled and honored to have a player and commentator the status of Lanny Wadkins’ appear at the 30th anniversary of the show,” said Chicago Golf Show organizer Tom Corcoran. “I know our knowledgeable and passionate attendees will give Lanny Wadkins a warm Chicago welcome.”

Wadkins recently was named Golf Channel’s lead analyst for the network’s 22 Champions Tour broadcasts after filling the same role for CBS from 2002-06.

This is the third time in the last six years that a former major champion has appeared at the Chicago Golf Show. 1995 British Open and 1991 PGA Championship winner John Daly appeared in 2008. Masters champion Craig Stadler appeared in 2012.

Wadkins is scheduled to appear on the show’s Golf Academy Stage at noon on Saturday. His appearance is courtesy of the Encompass Championship.
