Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (February 18, 2013) – Affiniti Golf Partners (www.affinitigolf.com) has named Dennis Mallon as general manager for Dutchess Golf Club, according to Affiniti founding partner, Whitney Crouse.
Mallon comes to Dutchess Golf Club from another Affiniti Golf-managed property, the 36-hole Alpharetta Athletic Club located in north Atlanta, Ga. While in Atlanta, Mallon also served as director of business development for Affiniti.
Prior to Alpharetta Athletic Club, Mallon was general manager and chief operating officer at the prestigious Millbrook Golf & Tennis Club in Dutchess County. He previously was general manager and COO of the Oldfield Club on Long Island.
An eight-year Marine Corps veteran, Mallon is a CMAA Certified Club Manager. He also is a former member of the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce and former vice president of the Millbrook Business Association.

Established in 1897 and located 80 miles north of New York City on the east bank of the Hudson River, Dutchess Golf Club is one of the very first golf courses in the country. It began life as a nine-hole course designed by the club members. A second nine holes was added in 1924 by the members and architect Devereux Emmet, who also designed the original Congressional Country Club course near Washington, D.C., and the Green Course at Bethpage State Park.
