2-3 Finish For SuperStroke Golf At The Northern Trust Open

February 19, 2013

Riviera Country Club was the site of the Northern Trust Open. SuperStroke putter grips were near the top all week, ultimately taking home two top-3 finishes for the event.

Leading the way was a University of New Mexico graduate, who holed a dramatic 18-foot birdie putt on the 72nd hole of the tournament, ultimately finishing in 2nd place. The 2011 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Classic champion chose the SuperStroke Mid Slim and it paid off; a Sunday 3.358 Strokes-Gained helped him chase down the leaders. The 28-year-old jumped from 151st to 64th with this runner-up finish.

Finishing T3 was a Swedish-born golfer who continues his strong play since switching to the SuperStroke Mid Slim at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. The Mid Slim has been an important part of his back-to-back top-10 finishes, where he currently leads the PGA Tour in Strokes-Gained this year (1.287).

The European Tour played the African Open and a South African-born player finished 4th using a SuperStroke 17″ belly. The 2011 Alfred Dunhill Championship winner has also put together back-to-back finishes after his T9 at last week’s Joburg Open. He currently sits 15th on the Race to Dubai standings.

SuperStroke putter grips helped earn another $1.5 million for Tour players this week, bringing our total PGA Tour winnings to just over $55 million.
