Company offering 2-for-1 golf for ladies through March 31
DALLAS – Recognizing the importance in women growing the game of golf, Eagle Golf has announced a program where two women can play for the price of one at all 26 of the public facilities it operates through the end of March.
“The golf industry has long realized that women represent a significant growth opportunity. However, this has not always been supported by the experience women have when they come to a golf course,” said Dale Folmar, executive vice president of Eagle Golf. “We want women to know that they are not only welcome at our courses but we want them there. As a company, we want to be a leader in the initiative to welcome women to the game.”
The Eagle Golf promotion will provide an opportunity for female golfers to bring a friend or try the game for the first time at a discounted rate, an opportunity they may not receive at other courses in their area. Participating facilities include:

Eagle Golf is also working with the five private clubs it manages to create unique golf programs tailored to the female membership. Promotions will include free guest days, instructional opportunities and social events.
“Our private clubs certainly recognize the importance of women in our membership base and in the game of golf as a whole,” said Kathryn Comfort, senior vice president for operations at Eagle Golf. “As a female in the golf industry, I’m proud that Eagle Golf is implementing programs aimed at getting more women on the course.”
Eagle Golf’s women’s promotions and initiatives are aligned with the golf industry’s player development efforts, which stress the importance of unique personal and enjoyable experiences in golf for all current, lapsed and potential players including women, youth and minorities.
“Women have long demonstrated interest in the game and represent untapped spending power for golf,” said Sandy Cross, Director of Women’s & New Market Initiatives for The PGA of America. “It’s great to see a management company like Eagle Golf embrace the importance of bringing more women to the game and create opportunities that are welcoming, fun and affordable.”
