LAKE MARY, FL (Feb. 26, 2013) – Television personality Mitch Laurance will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the 23rd Annual ING Spring Conference May 19-23 at beautiful Reunion Resort in Orlando, FL.
Anyone in the golf industry or media is invited to attend the conference, conducted by the non-profit International Network of Golf, where media and the golf industry connect. Industry executives from companies large and small, and from every segment of the industry, will join golf media of all types at this annual gathering that is expected to attract over 150 people. Several new products will be launched at the ING Spring Conference. Golf equipment companies large and small will be on hand to display products for testing by dozens of media members representing a combined audience of millions of golfers. There will also be educational sessions featuring use of digital media and marketing, golf events and networking functions.
Laurance has been the play-by-play commentator for ESPN’s Championship Billiards for almost two decades. He is the Producer, Writer, Director and Host of Myrtle Beach’s Award winning television show “On the Green Golf Video Showcase,” and is a Video Contributor and Host for Golf Getaways Magazine.
Laurance’s most recent venture is in conjunction with PGA Master Professional Steve Anderson, as Co-Host of the “Steve & Mitch Online Golf Show.”
In the world of entertainment, Laurance got his start in television as an Associate Director and Producer on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” He then went on to a career in front of the camera that has continued for more than 30 years. He was a series regular on HBO’s “Not Necessarily the News” and has had numerous recurring roles on shows such as “LA Law,” “Matlock” and “Dawson’s Creek.” He most recently appeared on the FX Channel shows “The Riches” and “Prison Break,” and the Lifetime series “Drop Dead Diva.”
The 2013 ING Spring Conference will welcome approximately 160 people from all walks of the golf industry and media. The popular One-On-One Appointment Show has been expanded to two days, and the educational format has been revised to feature more customized choices.
Approximately 20 companies are expected to display their products for testing in the Demo Lab. Three golf events are also on the schedule.
Reunion Resort is located only 25 minutes southwest of the Orlando International Airport, and is part of the newly established Grand Golf Resorts of Florida – a Salamander Collection – along with 2011 ING host Innisbrook Resort near Tampa and Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast.
