Carmel’s iconic resort offers special “Be The First” rate starting at $125 per night, $195 including golf for two
CARMEL, CALIF. (February 28, 2013) — Quail Lodge Resort and Golf Club in Carmel Valley, Calif., announced today that the 93-room hotel will officially re-open on March 26, 2013, completing a resort-wide $28 million renovation. The hotel has been closed since November 2009. With a renewed focus on family-friendly amenities and group facilities, the 93-room property will offer one of the most exceptional values on the Monterey Peninsula.
To celebrate the re-opening, Quail Lodge is offering a limited-time “Be the First” rate. Beginning March 26 through April 18, 2013, guestroom rates will start at $125 (plus tax) per night and include daily Continental breakfast, parking and high-speed Internet access. For the avid golfer, a “Stay and Play” package that includes one round of golf for two people will start at $195 (plus tax) per night, including daily Continental breakfast, golf cart, parking and high-speed Internet access.
“We are thrilled to show off the results of Quail Lodge’s makeover and introduce a new resort concept to the region,” said Sarah Cruse, general manager, Quail Lodge and Golf Club. “The refreshed Quail Lodge offers beautifully updated rooms and facilities at very attractive rates. The new and improved resort offers the best value on the Monterey Peninsula without sacrificing the comfort and style that our guests are seeking and deserve.”
Santa Monica, Calif.-based Barry Design Associates has breathed new life into a storied resort that has been a favorite of families for generations. All guest rooms, meeting and public spaces will debut a new look inspired by Historic California Ranch and Spanish Colonial design elements, to give the resort a fresh new character that is comfortable, approachably modern and distinctly Californian. Interior tones feature the warm golds and oranges reflective of sun-drenched Carmel Valley, and each guest room offers a private deck or patio that overlooks the lakes, golf course or lush gardens. Some guest suites also boast cozy fireplaces, perfect for enjoying a cool Carmel Valley evening.
Guests can enjoy an array of resort amenities at Quail Lodge including Edgar’s, located in the Quail Golf Club, which offers lunch and dinner with eclectic and fresh California cuisine. The 18-hole Robert Muir Graves-designed golf course is now managed by KemperSports, which operates golf, resort and sports facilities in 26 states and internationally. A heated outdoor pool, bocce court, tennis courts and weight and cardio center rounds-out the resort’s approachable fitness offerings. The on-site Land Rover Experience Driving School invites guests to climb behind the wheel and master a variety of off-road obstacles.
The new Quail Lodge also will reintroduce enhanced meeting facilities with 6,500 square feet of flexible space including six conference rooms, banquet facilities for up to 200 guests, smaller breakout suites and colorful tents for garden parties, weddings and receptions, up to 600 guests. With the incredible backdrop of the Santa Lucia Mountains, every event at Quail Lodge is set to be memorable.
