Paul Jenkins, Chairman of the marketing committee explains, ” Formby Golf Club has historically been a very sought after course for visitors. After much research and inspection of websites from some of the world’s most famous golf courses, we have used the most innovative ideas, and with some additions, implemented them into our own site. We ultimately required an on line presence that showed in full detail the course in all of its glory and allowed visitors to have a completely interactive and visually informative experience as they browsed.”
The website, built and designed with help from technology professionals throughout the club, is something to be excited about for the Formby links. With competition such as the Brabazon, The Curtis Cup and The Amateur Championship having visited its hallowed turfs over the past two decades, Formby Golf Club are looking to drive their awareness and provide one of the most fulfilling, testing and unforgettable experiences of golf in the UK today.
Paul adds, “As members we never stop appreciating the beauty and idyllic setting of the course and our aim was to allow golfers from around the world the opportunity to tour the course, see every bump and hollow, and place in their mind that, far from being a younger brother to the two championship courses close by, we are in fact a reason in itself to visit the North West coast.”
