Pinehurst, NC (February 27, 2012) – Matt Molloy, a 20-year veteran of the golf industry, announced today that he has launched an entirely new type of golf services business, Global Sports Brands, LLC (GSB) that encompasses Global Golf Distribution, Inside and Outside Sales Support, Marketing, Fulfillment and Accounting Services all operated from a 14,000 sq. ft. facility in the Pinehurst, North Carolina area.
Global Sports Brands, LLC will be led by Mr. Molloy. Mr. Molloy graduated from Colgate University as the Captain of their Golf Team, played professionally on a wide range of Tours and has run several successful companies in the golf industry. In 2004, he Co-Founded Rife Putters, helped raise several rounds of capital, and in 2007 became President of the company.
In 2010, Mr. Molloy resigned from Rife Putters and became the Vice President of Global Distribution for Performance Sports Brands, Inc. (PSBI). PSBI, in conjunction with its subsidiary The Golf Agency, has been the leading producer of direct to consumer TV commercials on the Golf Channel for the last 15 years. PSBI and TGA were responsible for some of the most successful direct response television and branding campaigns the industry has ever seen including: SkyCaddie, Orlimar, AJ Golf, Tour Striker, and the now widely successful Swingsmart project, just to name a few.
Mr. Molloy left PSBI early in 2012 to pursue a vision he had for a new type of product distribution and fulfillment company. Mr. Molloy saw that many companies with great products had an extremely hard time breaking into the golf market. With GSB, Mr. Molloy has created a company that can provide an all-in-one solution for companies that possess products with unique marketing and sales propositions and wish to enter the golf market in a cost efficient fashion.
