Bogey book proceeds to help fund The First Tee of Massachusetts!
Quincy, MA – Scooter Pines Publishing is thrilled to announce that former No. 1 ranked female golfer in the world, broadcaster for NBC Sports, children’s book author, and this year’s USA Solheim Cup Assistant Captain, Dottie Pepper, will be the keynote speaker this Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 9:30am-1:30pm at The Boston EWGA Chapter’s 20th Birthday Season Kick Off Event at the Granite Links Golf Club. Pepper will share the importance of EWGA Chapters around the country supporting the growth of the game, Bogey’s mission to get kids playing golf, reading and having fun, and answering questions about her successful career on the LPGA tour, in addition to transitioning to sports commentating and becoming a children’s book author.
Pepper will also be autographing her children’s books that will be available for purchase. The Boston EWGA Chapter will donate a portion of the book sales proceeds to help fund The First Tee of Massachusetts. Admission is $35 for members and guests.
“The EWGA exists to provide opportunities for women to learn, play, and enjoy the game of golf for business and for life,” commented Arlene Franklin, Boston EWGA Chapter President. Since its inception in 1991, the EWGA has served as a portal to golf and touched the lives of tens of thousands of women. EWGA has Chapters throughout the United States, along with international Chapters in Canada, Bermuda, South Africa and Italy. They offer a wide range of organized golf activities, learning programs, volunteer, social and networking opportunities for both novice and experienced golfers. Membership has grown to nearly 14,000 members.
The EWGA Boston Chapter was established in 1994 and, with almost 400 members, is the third largest chapter in the Association. Members from all walks of life and careers all share one common link – golf!
