Promotion supports company’s commitment to women in golf
DALLAS – Eagle Golf, a leading golf course management company, has promoted Ann Lund to the position of General Manager of Clear Creek Golf Club in Houston, announced Dale Folmar, executive vice president. She previously served as Assistant General Manager.
“Ann has excelled in every position she’s held since joining the staff of Clear Creek in 2006. She is well equipped to lead this facility as its GM,” said Folmar.
Lund began her career as a Pro Shop Assistant at Clear Creek, an 18-hole public facility. She later served as Group Sales Coordinator and Event Manager. In 2009, she became the Food & Beverage Manager. She was named Assistant General Manager in 2010 with continued responsibility for events coordination and food and beverage operations.
“I have had the unique ability to see the golf business from all different perspectives over the years and I am excited to have this opportunity,” said Lund. “I look forward to a bright future with Eagle Golf and I am thrilled to be a part of their initiatives to grow the game of golf for women.”
Eagle Golf, which manages golf facilities, recently announced a program where two women can play for the price of one at all of its 26 pubic courses through the end of March.
“We recognize that women represent a significant growth opportunity for golf. An important part of getting more women into the game is for them to see their peers in leadership positions at golf facilities,” added Folmar. “As this promotion with Ann shows, we are committed to making sure this is standard practice at our facilities.”
Eagle Golf has been in operation for more than 28 years. Based in Dallas, the company provides a full suite of golf course management services to more than 30 private and public golf facilities located in major metropolitan areas in seven states. More than three million rounds of golf are played at Eagle Golf courses each year, making up almost one percent of the total rounds played in the United States every year.
