Diverse background, which began in golf, to make immediate impact on development of company’s certified coaches and improvement centers worldwide
Centennial, Colo. (March 12, 2012) – GolfTEC, the world leader in golf improvement, has selected Larry Witt as its Director of National Sales Training. With a successful track record in the sales industry, Witt brings a new and fresh approach to the sales and product training segment of GolfTEC’s international team of certified coaches and improvement center managers.
Witt, 35, joins GolfTEC after leaving a career in the sports nutrition industry, where he worked in the sales and sales management field for 12 years, developing a diverse sales and operations background. His expertise includes establishing new pricing structures, as well as creating and implementing new training programs for an inside sales team.
“Larry has built and trained sales teams and has a history of increasing sales, quarter over quarter and year over year,” said Joe Assell, CEO and Co-Founder GolfTEC. “He has trained more than 400 team members, both in person and through web-based programs. His passion for golf and his passion for sales will make him a highly effective addition to the GolfTEC team.”
Witt, who is originally from Chicago, before moving to Arlington, Texas, actually got his start in sales through golf – selling tee-time discount packages door-to-door while he was in college.
“I am looking forward to applying my sales experience from outside the golf world to help the GolfTEC coaches,” Witt said. “I am excited to be able to take my passion for golf and put it together with my 15 years of sales experience to help them grow their businesses.”
As Vice President of Sales and Operations at Corr Jensen Labs, Witt managed and mentored the inside sales team and international sales team, while developing outbound calling programs to capture more market share. This aggressive and effective approach created a sales increase of 148 percent from 2010 to 2011.
While Witt served as National Sales Director at AST Sports Science, it recorded an 18 percent quarterly growth average throughout his four years with the company.
As a Territory Field Rep for EAS Sports Nutrition, Witt grew his Chicago territory account base from 75 business owners to 225 in one year by creating a customer referral program. Increased sales made Chicago the top producing market for EAS.
