Little Creek Casino Resort’s new amenity course offering special rates through April; rounds played increase by 21%
(SHELTON, Wash.) — Salish Cliffs Golf Club at Little Creek Casino Resort – located a scenic and easy drive from Olympia and Seattle – has again been honored by a national publication, earning the No. 3 spot in Golfweek’s 2013 “America’s Best Courses You Can Play” in Washington.
The rankings come after Salish Cliffs recently garnered Top-10 status in Golf Digest’s biennial “2013-14 America’s Greatest Courses” by state list and Golfweek’s “Top-50 Best Casino Courses” list. In addition, Salish Cliffs was named “Best New Course” by Golfweek and GOLF Magazine in 2011, just months after its grand opening.
Golfweek annually sends approximately 400 “America’s Best” raters in search of the country’s finest golf courses, based on strength of routing, natural setting, conditioning, feature shaping, greens, variety and memorability of holes, maintenance and landscape management.
“We are honored to continually be recognized as one of the top courses in the state and across the U.S.,” said Salish Cliffs Head Golf Professional David Kass, PGA. “As we gear up for just our second full season, it’s rewarding to see Salish Cliffs and Little Creek Casino Resort maintain its status as a destination leader in the Pacific Northwest.”
Contributing to Salish Cliffs’ success is the price point and value it affords players, with a peak-season green fee rate of under $100. The course has seen a 21% increase in rounds played in the first six months of the current fiscal year and golf retails sales are up 114%.
“Shoulder season” rates of $69 (Monday-Thursday) and $79 (Friday-Sunday) are available through the end of April. Little Creek Casino Resort and RV Park guests receive an additional 10% off, while MVP Player Card holders, Primetime Players (ages 50 and older), non-Squaxin Island Tribal and military personnel receive 5% off. Rates include greens fee, cart, range balls and tax.
Tee times can be booked with a major credit card up to 30 days in advance at www.salish-cliffs.com. Advanced tee-time booking up to 60 days in advance is available for those with confirmed Little Creek Casino Resort hotel reservations by calling the golf shop at 360.462.3673.
Owned and operated by the Squaxin Island Tribe, Little Creek Casino Resort boasts a variety of amenities, including the recently unveiled Seven Inlets Spa and the Skookum Spirit Cigar and Wine Lounge. The resort regularly attracts headline acts and entertainment at the Skookum Creek Event Center, including ESPN’s “Friday Night Fights” on April 12. The headline match pits former World Boxing Association champion Rico Ramos against Oscar Gonzalez in a featherweight bout.
