Bend, OR – Davis Smith has recently joined Tetherow Golf Club in Bend, Oregon as the new Operations Manager. Davis will be responsible for daily operations planning, budget management, member and guest relations, and employee guidance for the Club. With over 20 years of experience, Smith is a true veteran of the hospitality industry. Locally, he has worked with The Oxford Hotel, Sunriver Resort and Eagle Crest along with the Hilton and Doubletree organizations at a variety of locations throughout the West.
“As Tetherow begins construction of it’s overnight accommodations, Davis’ knowledge of developing, marketing and operating a hotel is incredibly valuable. He has worked with some of the finest brands in Central Oregon and we are thrilled to welcome him to Tetherow,” said Chris van der Velde, Tetherow’s General Manager/Managing Partner.
Davis grew up in Southern Oregon and attended Oregon State University but his ties to Bend run deep. His grandparents were instrumental in Bend’s development, as his grandmother was a teacher at the Kenwood School while his grandfather helped construct the Pine Tavern. His father was raised in Bend and Davis originally relocated to Bend in 1995 to work at the Sunriver Resort. He, his wife Lisa, and their two children are thrilled to return here.
