PORT ST. More than 20 students recently received a fun, hands-on experience, working alongside PGA professionals and assisting with golf instruction during the Women’s Golf Day event, hosted at the PGA Center for Golf Learning & Performance in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
The special event featured LPGA Hall of Fame Inductee Nancy Quarcelino, 1990 PGA Teacher of the Year Charlie Sorrell and numerous local PGA/LPGA professionals and was designed to provide women and girls with more opportunities to get involved in the game. Keiser University College of Golf & Sport Management students assisted with instruction on putting, chipping, bunker play and full swing.

The Keiser University College of Golf & Sport Management features a 20,000-square-foot facility includes a 1,500-square-foot indoor putting green, advanced launch monitor technology, TaylorMade MAT-T swing analysis system, an interactive golf simulator provided by Full Swing Golf powered by Sports Coach Systems, and a golf club repair lab equipped by Mitchell Golf Equipment. Students also have daily access to several PGA Master Professionals, such as Brian Hughes and Dr. Eric Wilson, as well as Golf Magazine top 100 teacher Dr. T.J. Tomasi.
The Keiser University College of Golf & Sport Management Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management is designed to prepare students for careers in sport-related industries with concentrations in either Golf, Psychology and Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology. This is a 120-credit program geared to admit students right out of high school. For graduates of an accredited institution who hold an Associate’s Degree or higher and have six months of employment in hospitality, fitness, sports, recreation, golf or a related field, the Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management can be obtained as a completion degree entirely online in as few as 20 months.
Keiser University College of Golf & Sport Management is well-known for its Associate of Science Degree in Golf which prepares students for a variety of positions in the golf industry.
