WNB Golf Classic winner notches second career victory using Aldila’s new Tour Blue shaft

POWAY, Calif. – Aldila captured the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at the season’s first major championship. When play began, Aldila had 16 more wood shafts and 10 more hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer at the Masters, according to the Darrell Survey. The double count win marked the fifth consecutive week that Aldila has won both the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour. Five of the Top 10 finishers at the Masters played Aldila shafts, including the second place finisher who played Aldila’s new Tour Green shaft in his Driver and Aldila’s RIP shaft in his 3 Wood.

After switching to Aldila’s new Tour Blue shaft in his hybrid club, the winner of the WNB Golf Classic posted his second career win on the Web.com Tour. He came from five shots back in the final round of the WNB Golf Classic to capture the win by firing a 6-under 66 and finishing the tournament with a 16-under 272 for a one-stroke victory. With the win he collected $108,000 and moved from No.87 to No. 6 on the money list.

The Most Accurate Driver on the PGA Tour plays Aldila’s Tour Green in his driver and 3 wood as well as Aldila’s new graphite RIP Iron shafts in all of his iron clubs. He leads the Tour with an overall Driving Accuracy Percentage rating of 73.13 percent compared to the Tour average of 59.78 percent.

According to Aldila engineers, the Tour Green and Tour Blue is a new shaft design that’s undergoing final testing on Tour and will be released later this year. The company’s new graphite irons will afford players unrivaled consistency, straightness and low torque with optimum feel when they are released later this summer.
