Registration now open for popular Father’s Day weekend tournament
ORLANDO, Fla. (April 16, 2013) – Golfweek, the most authentic, authoritative and independent voice in golf, is bringing its popular Father & Son Open back to Orlando this Father’s Day weekend (June 14-16). The annual event – which will be held at Reunion Resort & Spa – gathers amateur and professional golfers alike for three days of fun-filled competition and friendly rivalries.
“The Golfweek Father & Son Open has been bringing families together to compete in this special tournament for more than 30 years,” said Golfweek Director of Events Armand Cimaroli. “This event has become a tradition not just for Golfweek, but also for many of the teams that play year after year.”
The 2013 Father & Son Open will be played on Reunion Resort’s Palmer and Watson courses and will feature a two-man, 36-hole Modified Chapman (alternate shot) format. The field will be divided into flights according to combined handicaps, with prizes being awarded to the top teams in each flight. In addition to two tournament rounds, participants will also enjoy two nights of accommodations, an opening night shoot-out, Father of the Year luncheon and awards ceremony and tee gifts.
Space is limited, and slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit GolfweekEvents.com for full event details and to register today.
