SteelFiber Shafts Add Two Top 10s At Insperity Championship

May 8, 2013

BELLINGHAM, Washington – Aerotech Golf’s SteelFiber shafts, the No. 1 composite iron shafts in golf, collected two T8 finishes at the Insperity Championship, held at the The Woodlands, Texas. SteelFiber players currently hold the No. 3 and No. 11 rankings in the current Charles Schwab Cup race.

Playing TaylorMade and Titleist irons, the two Top 10 players trusted SteelFiber i110 composite shafts for ultimate performance and consistency week after week.

“We’re very excited about our growing success on both the PGA and Champions Tours” said Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary. “SteelFiber shafts are well-known for combining the power of graphite with the stability of steel. Unlike any other shaft in golf, the unique composite technology provides stability and shot consistency while it simultaneously reduces player fatique and provides for more greater vibration dampening.”

For the third consecutive year, SteelFiber shafts were the No. 1 iron composite shaft on the PGA TOUR. In addition to their second-straight Ryder Cup appearance, SteelFiber shafts won the 2012 FedExCup title, the TOUR Championship, The Players Championship and the Farmers Insurance Open and collected 21 Top 10 finishes on the PGA and Champions Tours. In 2011, two of the Top Eight players in the final FedExCup standings played SteelFiber shafts and SteelFiber delivered two Top Three finishes in the PGA TOUR PlayOffs.

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through innovative composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface. While the shaft’s graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy. Originally developed for irons the SteelFiber technology now enhances the performance of hybrids, fairway woods and drivers.

Aerotech Golf specializes in innovative composite technology, and has supplied shafts to such renowned golf club manufactures as Titleist, Nike Golf, Bridgestone Golf, Cleveland Golf, Adams Golf, Miura, Srixon, Lynx, KZG, Nakashima, Scratch Golf, Zevo and Pure Spin among many others.
