Denver, Colo. (May 23, 2013) – Joe Assell, CEO, President, and co-founder of GolfTEC, the world leader in golf improvement, will be a featured speaker at the 10th Golf Business Forum, to be held June 3-5, 2013, in the home of golf, St. Andrews, Scotland.
Golf Business Forum is a unique international event focused on the business of golf. It features presentations, panel discussion, debates, and one-on-one interviews with key golf-industry leaders. Topics include everything from golf design and the environment to golf tourism and marketing.
Assell, who co-founded GolfTEC in 1995, will be on a panel titled, “How to Push Golfers’ Buttons,” which will discuss how innovations in technology affect the business of golf and its customers. Which makes perfect sense because GolfTEC is an industry leader in implementing technology at various levels.
GolfTEC created and uses proprietary software in every lesson it gives every day. Called “g-SWING,” this software combines video and motion measurement to analyze the swing and provide feedback during every in-bay lesson. An online system called the “Player Performance Center” allows every student to review his or her lessons-including video, coach’s instructions and drills-anytime, anywhere over the internet.
Furthermore, every one of GolfTEC’s more than 600 Certified Personal Coaches has been trained to use and interpret the extensive data produced by g-SWING, which has been instrumental in fueling the company’s growth. GolfTEC recently gave its four millionth lesson since opening in 1995. In that time, the company has grown from one location to more than 170 in North America and Asia.
GolfTEC also created a time- and lesson-management software program for its coaches, called CaddyMaster, which provides them with total support of their business activities.
Golf Business Forum 2013 will be at the Fairmont St. Andrews Hotel. Among the other speakers and panelists will be Tim Finchem, Commissioner of the PGA TOUR; George O’Grady, Chief Executive of The European Tour; Dana Garmany, Chairman and Chief Executive of Troon Golf; Professional Golfer Colin Montgomerie; Peter Dawson, Chief Executive of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, and many other golf luminaries.
