Sacramento, CA- Yoga For Golfers Founder and Nike Golf Swoosh Elite Staff member Katherine Roberts will be a featured presenter during the annual Women’s Golf Week, June 10-14 at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento, CA.
Morton Golf staff members are asking attendees to leave their golf clubs at home on the evening of Thurs. June 13 and instead, come dressed in comfortable yoga attire. From 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Haggin Oaks Pavilion, participants will have an opportunity to learn basic yoga techniques that will help improve stamina and strengthen the inner core, ultimately increasing enjoyment of the game. Sponsored by Nike Golf, the clinic is free and open to all women interested in golf and fitness.
A Golf Magazine fitness panel expert, Roberts will share tips on breathing and stretching that will transcend beyond golf, and helpful to golfers at home and work, too.
“We are looking forward to having Katherine Roberts with us during Women’s Golf Week,” shared Tom Morton, PGA Director of Player Development at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. “She is extremely knowledgeable on how the body works as it relates to the golf swing and she has a way of explaining it to golfers in a way that is upbeat, highly relatable, and easily understood by her students, whether they are beginners just taking up the sport or low-index players wanting to hone their game even more.”
Roberts has provided Yoga For Golfers clinics for the LPGA, PGA of America, PGA of Canada, Women on Course, Executive Women’s Golf Association, Nike Golf and at such popular events as the PGA’s Connecting with Her Clinic, TPI’s World Golf Fitness Summit and at America’s Largest Demo Days at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. Additionally, she provides Teacher Trainings for those interested in becoming certified as a Yoga For Golfers instructor. Her fitness tips (now available in downloadable DVD’s) have been viewed via the Golf Channel, PGA.com and other social media platforms.
