Portland, Ore. (June 6, 2013) – Golf Media Network and The A Position will publish its latest Emagazine, covering the U.S. Open, in plenty of time to influence your choice of favorites to win this year’s event at Merion. The publication will be distributed by 35 state and regional golf associations throughout the U.S. and Canada to their more than 600,000 members.
Edited by former GOLF Magazine editor James A. Frank, and written by the best golf journalists covering the sport, the Emagazine offers irreverent stories and behind-the-scenes looks at golf’s Major Championships.
The new edition, also available at tourontap.com, includes a video essay about Merion by Peter Kessler; Brian McCallen’s travel guide to great courses in the Philadelphia area-which pairs perfectly with beer expert Tom Bedell’s tour of the region’s best pubs and breweries; an instructional piece about making a good turn by PGA member Roberto Borgatti; Terry Moore’s Q&A with 1981 Open champion David Graham; Hal Phillips’s podcast interview with Merion Superintendent Matt Shaffer; tips from David DeSmith on how to make money if the Open is held at a course near you; and much more.
Readers of the U.S. Open edition will also have the opportunity to win an aerial photo of Merion provided by Premier Aerials, and a 5-day/4-night golf package to Myrtle Beach including custom-fit TaylorMade clubs, adidas apparel, and a one-on-one lesson with LPGA member Meredith Kirk.
Golf Media Network’s The A Position.com is a portfolio of websites featuring the world’s best golf and travel writers. The term “The A Position” refers to the best place a golfer can land his tee shot. On the web, it refers to the site readers will want to land on for great golf and travel journalism.
