Santa Ana, CA – June 12, 2013 – IOMIC USA, manufacturer of innovative, revolutionary and dynamically designed grips, announced today that the winner of the Wegmans LPGA Championship and four other top-5 finishers including IOMIC pro staff member, Catriona Matthews used IOMIC grips. In addition, three top-10 finishers at the PGA FedEx St. Jude Classic used IOMIC grips.

According to Katz Murai, Overseas Division of IOMIC, “Our grips continue to be a popular choice among professionals on all tours. We are extremely pleased that three LPGA winners in a row have relied on the great feel and performance characteristics of our grips. We congratulate the winner on her second major championship victory of 2013 and we congratulate Catriona on her strong finish.”

The final 36 holes of the Wegmans LPGA Championship were played on the final day of the event after rain postponed the start of the event by a day. The winner shot a 5-under 283 to force a playoff with the second place finisher. This is her 4th victory of 2013 and her second major victory of 2013. She was using the IOMIC Art Grip Sticky Opus 3 grips.

Catriona Matthews finished in second place and was using white Sticky 2.3 grips. This is her fourth and best top-10 finish of 2013. A T3 finisher and two T5 finishers were also using IOMIC grips. The T3 finisher was using pink Sticky 1.8 grips, one T5 finisher was using blue X-Grips, and one T5 finisher was using orange Sticky 1.8 and Putter grips. The T2, T7 and T10 finishers at the PGA FedEx St. Jude Classic all used IOMIC Sticky grips.

IOMIC Art Grip Sticky Opus 3 grips are manufactured using IOMIC’s special marble coloring process to create a stylish, fresh new look. Sticky grips are incredibly soft, and feature great traction and low torque. These grips are available in a variety of body colors with a white marble design.

IOMIC Sticky grips are incredibly soft, and feature great traction and low torque. These versatile grips are suitable for all playing styles, from beginners to top ranked tour professionals. The Sticky 2.3 is the standard size grip in the Sticky series while the Sticky 1.8 is slightly smaller. Both are available in a wide variety of colors.

The X-Grip is IOMIC’s first grip offering. This original standard size grip has a unique pattern of crosses and diamonds which helps golfers grip the club with the perfect amount of pressure. It prevents the grip from twisting at a high swing speed and gives players superior contact and a firm feeling.

All IOMIC grips feature the revolutionary “IOMAX” technology, a proprietary compound that provides a soft feel with control. This material provides adhesiveness, is water and friction resistant and is naturally white in color which allows for a full spectrum of color – IOMIC’s signature trait.
