PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The PGA’s Fast-Track Leadership Seminar and Certified Professional Program 2.0 top the new additions to an already diverse education conference at the 2013 PGA Expo, Aug. 19-21, at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. The enhanced education schedule provides PGA Professionals and industry leaders with a variety of high-level, national education programs to organize a custom educational calendar while sourcing the latest merchandise among more than 200 golf vendors and networking among peers at the industry’s annual golf marketplace.
After a successful inaugural presentation at the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show, the PGA Fast Track to Leadership Development Seminar has become a sought-after education component for its condensed three hours of premier education panels providing strategic intelligence on (1) golf market assessment & trends; (2) skill development insights from leading employers; and (3) career advancement opportunities. The PGA Fast Track to Leadership Development Seminar will be offered on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 10:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. PGA Professionals will earn 3 MSR Education credits for their participation in the seminar.
The PGA’s Certified Professional Program 2.0 (CPP) will offer a “Jump Start to Player Development” certification exclusively for PGA Professionals. The seven PGA custom courses for player development certification will be introduced and PGA Professionals are able to advance through the remainder of the online educational certification program at their own pace when they return home. The PGA’s Certified Professional Program 2.0 “Jump Start to Player Development certification session will be offered on Monday, Aug. 19, 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. PGA Professionals will earn 5 MSR Education credits for their participation in the seminar.
The PGA Fast Track and CPP programs complement the traditional PGA Education Conference of eleven sessions in four professional tracks – Leadership, Player Development, Instruction and Retail. The PGA of America and Association of Golf Merchandisers will offer a variety of one-hour sessions on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. PGA Professionals will earn 1 MSR Education credit per one-hour session.

In addition to the PGA Fast Track and CPP programs and the PGA Education Conference, a hands-on Instructional Workshop with Mike Malaska will be offered prior to Demo Night on Aug. 19; a new PGA Expo Technology Symposium will be offered on Aug. 20 and Peer-to-Peer Best Practice Roundtables will be offered on Aug. 21. FlightScope, a PGA Expo vendor, also will offer a condensed certification session prior to the PGA Expo on Aug. 19.
All PGA Expo education programs are offered in conjunction with the 2013 PGA Expo at the Venetian Resort and Callaway Golf Center in Las Vegas and organized in partnership with The PGA of America, Association of Golf Merchandisers and PGA Worldwide Golf Exhibitions.
