NORWALK, Conn. – A condensed FlightScope® Academy program will be offered to attending golf professionals in conjunction with the 2013 PGA Expo on Monday, Aug. 19, 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Nearly 100 golf instructors have become Certified FlightScope® Professionals since the inaugural FlightScope® Academy in April 2013.
“We are excited to bring the FlightScope® Academy to the PGA Expo where we look forward to helping golf professionals apply the latest FlightScope® technology and take their golf teaching and fitting practices to the next level,” said FlightScope® Inventor & CEO Henri Johnson.
FlightScope® Academy attendees will be educated in a wide range of subjects covering golf science, teaching, club fitting, and how to increase their revenue using FlightScope® products. They will receive training on how to teach with FlightScope® through a lesson demonstration. Additionally, FlightScope®’s integration with various video analysis software; club parameters – D Plane Swinger Trainer; speed and acceleration profiles; and the use of FlightScope® as a club fitting tool will be addressed.
Michael Neff, PGA, a FlightScope® Tour Representative and director of the FlightScope® Academy, will present the program at the PGA Expo in Las Vegas. Michael has worked with and trained more than 1,000 PGA TOUR players, Senior PGA TOUR players, LPGA professionals, and mini tour players over the years on FlightScope® and the TaylorMade MAT-T system. He has sold more than $4 million dollars of custom-fitted TaylorMade golf clubs and is a Master club fitter. Michael Neff is a Class-A member of The PGA of America and is also the author of the book “Drive Like the Pros.”
All attendees will be Certified FlightScope® Professionals after the completion of an online exam. Usually a two-day and $350 program, the FlightScope® Academy at the 2013 PGA Expo will be offered in one compact timeframe for $199 with a full education conference pass; for $300 as a stand-alone session; or for $375 when combined with the PGA Expo Instructional Workshop at Demo Night. PGA Professionals will receive 5 MSR credits (PGA education).
The FlightScope® Academy is part of the enhanced PGA Expo Educational Conference which also features a hands-on Instructional Workshop with Mike Malaska; the PGA Fast-Track to Leadership Development Seminar; a new PGA Expo Technology Symposium; player development sessions from the PGA’s Certified Professional Program 2.0; eleven AGM and PGA Education Seminars and new Peer-to-Peer Roundtables. PGA Expo educational programs complement a full schedule of exhibits, main stage presentations, demonstrations, product testing and professional networking events at the annual industry business gathering.
