The transatlantic darling of the golf shoe world launches new retro collections for the lady golfer this summer.

The Royal Albartross brand was born when fashion student Alex Bartholomew kept hearing the same comment about her shoe designs: “They look like golf shoes!”. Intrigued, she decided to delve further into the sporting world, beginning an obsession with sourcing the best high performance – and high fashion – materials she could find across the globe.
The award-winning designer said, “I believe it’s our finer details that make the difference. Our polished lace tips, stainless eyelets, extra padded collars and the beautiful leather smell you are greeted with when you open each box. We like to make sure each customer is 100% satisfied, wherever you are in the world, to give you the perfect excuse to escape for a round!”
Summer teed off last month with star-studded golfing event The Celebrity Cup at Celtic Manor, where Royal Albartross graced the elegant stance of Jodie Kidd as she played her round. Sporting the glossy, cherry-red Betsy Rubino style, Jodie put her “supremely comfortable and stable” golf shoes to good use. Jodie continued, “Everyone has asked about my shoes, I love them.”
The Celebrity Cup was closely followed by the BMW PGA Championship Pro-Am, where Royal Albartross flew the flag for classy golf wear and helped Jodie win ‘Best Dressed Lady Golfer’ – in those Betsy Rubinos of course!
Bartholomew has found her niche. After catching the attention of golfing greats with a luxurious and original men’s collection, the Royal Albartross ladies’ collection has taken a much more retro turn for a Gatsby summer. The new shoe range harks back to an era of louche glamour, with eye-catching wingtip designs and traditional round toes that casually conceal the precision engineering beneath.
