IRVINE, CA – July 12, 2013 – FOURTEEN GOLF, a global leader in the development of golf equipment design, announced today that their newly released FH-1000 Forged Irons and Golf Digest “Hot List” award winning RM-12 Wedges were played at the Standard Club Classic to claim FOURTEEN GOLF’s first victory on the Peach State Professional Tour.
According to Fourteen Golf COO Marcy Kamoda, “We are thrilled that our FH-1000 blades were put into play and won. The company has just recently introduced them and this victory helps validate their performance.”
The FH-1000 Forged Irons are the “ultimate” tour inspired set of irons which combine both traditional and modern features. To enhance functionality, the engineers incorporated a conventional muscle back design which provides easy spin control and consistent shot making.
The upper blade portion is slightly thicker with weight distributed on the upper part of the club head. This modern feature is called a “Reverse Muscle Design.” It promotes stability as well as distance with control.
“The Standard Club Classic Champion is a terrific ball striker who used the FH-1000 blades to his advantage. Our powerful proprietary head design helped him gain distance but with accuracy. They helped him shot two rounds in the sixties. He plays a #3 through #9,” added Kamoda.
Today’s tour ball characteristics include low spin on long shots and higher spin performance for short shots, so the FH-1000 Forged Irons have been designed to complement these traits. The long irons feature a lower CG which allows the ball to launch higher and land softly as compared to the short irons which have a higher CG for the perfect ball flight and trajectory.
“In addition to playing the FH-1000 Irons, the Standard Club Classic Champion plays two RM-12 Wedges. One in a 48-degree loft and another in a 60-degree loft,” added Kamoda.
FOURTEEN GOLF knows the importance of the short game. The company has garnered a reputation throughout the world as being the preeminent wedge designer and the new RM-12 Wedge verifies it. This tour inspired, high performance wedge features the same large trapezoidal grooves as its predecessor, the RM 11-Wedge. These expanded grooves impart exceptional spin and rotational speed as the RM acronym implies – “Revolution per Minute.”
These uniquely shaped trapezoidal grooves have been enlarged by 15% as compared to other FOURTEEN GOLF wedges. This increase in overall groove volume enhances spin retention particularly on partial shots. In addition, these high quality grooves perform well in both dry and wet conditions.
The 60-degree RM-12 Wedge is unlike the other lofted RM-12 Wedges as they feature a T-Sole, also known as a Twin Sole. A distinct ridge in the middle portion of the sole allows the club to get through any type of lie easily as the leading edge is able to slide under the club effortlessly. Additionally, when the club face is open, the back portion of the sole encourages the ball to pop up with the perfect amount of spin.
In addition to the vast amount of professional golfers playing FOURTEEN GOLF equipment, the company has a professional FOURTEEN GOLF staff team which includes PGA Professionals John Mallinger, Arjun Atwal, Ryuji Imada and Chad Collins.
