It took extra-holes at Castle Stuart Golf Links to determine the winner of this year’s Scottish Open. It featured two players going head-to-head using SuperStroke grips, one Slim 3.0 and one Ultra Slim 1.0. A birdie on the first playoff hole clinched victory for the 41-time PGA Tour champion and his Slim 3.0, becoming the first American to win the Scottish Open since 1997. “I have been coming here for some time and had some opportunities and I almost let it slip away today, the 43-year-old said. To come out on top was terrific.” This win was the 4-time major champion’s first European Tour victory in a regular European Tour event.
The Slim 3.0 is 1.30″ in diameter and allows players, like the Arizona State alumni, to quiet their hands and relax their wrists and forearms. This helps golfers to become more consistent in their putting by promoting a pendulum putting stroke.
