BALTIMORE, MD. – July 28, 2013 – STX Golf, known for as an industry pioneer in putter innovation with its patented Soft Face Insert Technology and for producing classically inspired putters with a modern style, announced today that a STX Pitch Black 1 Putter was played at the M2M Russian Open Golf Championship to finish with a Top-Five.
According to STX Golf Marketing Manager Jason Dengler, “Earlier this month we announced our commitment to our international tour program which includes most major golf tours. This month STX Golf was credited with a Top-10 finish on the Asian Tour and this week, a Top-Five finish on the European Tour at the Russian Open. The M2M Russian Open Golf Championship is a golf tournament on the European Tour and is the only event played behind the former Iron Curtain. It is governed by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club. Players from all over the world compete for the $2 million dollar purse. One Asian Tour Professional fought hard for a portion of the purse and used a Pitch Black 1 Putter in his pursuit. He thrived and finished with a Top-Five finish.
The stealth-like, Pitch Black 1 Putter is a compact, perimeter weighted blade using both modern and classic design elements.
