Both winners chose Adidas cleats featuring PINS system
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., July 29, 2013 … Softspikes®/PrideSports, the world’s best-selling golf cleat brand and maker of the #1 Cleat in Golf, captured victories on the PGA and Champions Tours this weekend. The winners both played in Adidas shoes featuring the PINS attachment system, the fastest growing system in golf. The PINS (Professional Insert System) was co-created by Softspikes and Adidas to offer players the lowest profile receptacle on the market. This system gives more stability and control through the entire swing.
After the RBC Canadian Open, the winner jumped to Number 3 in FedEx points, solidifying his run for the Cup. In addition, 15 of the Top 21 finishers chose Softspikes®/PrideSports cleats in Ontario this weekend.
“We want to congratulate all of the winners from this weekend’s events,” said John Hohman, Vice President of Marketing, PrideSports. “As the Tour season is winding down and the FedEx Cup standings continue to evolve, each victory becomes even more exciting.”
Softspikes’ patented Dynamic Cleat Technology allows its cleats to be responsive to all terrains – Tee Boxes, Fairways, Roughs, Greens, etc – providing confidence on every swing of the club. In other words, longer drives, better iron shots and lower scores. For more information on Softspikes, please visit www.softspikes.com.
PrideSports was formed in January 2003 following Pride Manufacturing Company’s purchase of Softspikes, Inc., and its sister company Trisport, Ltd. of England. This acquisition essentially formed the world’s premier golf accessories company, as Pride and Softspikes are the world’s leading golf tee and golf cleat lines, respectively. Today, PrideSports is the world leader in the design and manufacture of cleats, spikes and receptacles for the entire golf footwear industry.
