SEATTLE (Aug. 6, 2013) – True to its Pacific Northwest heritage, the inspiration for one of three new deliveries in Cutter & Buck’s ANNIKA Collection for Spring 2014 is the stately Paramount Theatre, which opened to great enthusiasm 85 years ago in downtown Seattle. At that time, The Seattle Times called the facility a “magnificent cathedral of entertainment” and exclaimed that “all Seattle will be there!”
Jake Rawson, Cutter & Buck’s global director of sales for golf, said his company is looking for an encore performance with the ANNIKA Paramount delivery as well as two others – Studio and Dynamic – in what amounts to a more sporty, athletic, fresh collection that features a stunning color palette.
Here is a closer look at the three deliveries in the Spring ’14 ANNIKA Collection, named and designed for legendary golfer Annika Sorenstam:
• ANNIKA Paramount: Anchored in black and white, and boasting a white deco/South Beach feel, the dynamic colors are Splendor (metallic pink) Premier (pale aqua) and Jet Black.
• ANNIKA Studio: The “what if he is there?” thought process is the inspiration for the Studio delivery. With hints of red in the striping, the line’s colors are Chic Lime (yellow green), Wisp (greyed aqua) and Force (navy).
• ANNIKA Dynamic: For the serious athlete, there is inevitably that glowing moment of achieving the big victory, the moment of which Annika is very familiar. With this feeling in mind, the Dynamic delivery was born. Its colors are Vivid (hot orange), Rainier (blue grey) and Onyx (dark metal gray).
It’s been nearly two years since Cutter & Buck unveiled its new brand identity, “Genuine Spirit of the Pacific Northwest.” The initiative, designed to show the company’s brand evolution from niche-specialty to global lifestyle, is befitting of the Pacific Northwest where residents naturally thrive between an urban and outdoor lifestyle.
Cutter & Buck will be an exhibitor Aug. 19-21 at the 2013 PGA Expo in Las Vegas (booth #202).
