Food & Beverage: A Powerful Revenue Stream For Golf Clubs

August 12, 2013

Food and beverage services are a vital and integral part of a golf club. Run well, this part of a golf club’s business can and will be a strong revenue generator.

So why aren’t golf clubs placing greater emphasis on food and beverage?

This question will be posed at the 2013 Asia Pacific Golf Summit on November 5 – 7 which is scheduled to be staged at the plush five-star Shangri-la Hotel Jakarta, Indonesia.

The expert tasked to address this issue is Mike Holtzman, president of Profitable Food Facilities Inc. who is widely regarded as one of the finest consultants on FB operations for golf clubs.

“We ask three questions – are your food and beverage operations draining your greens fee profits? Would you like to maximize your potential in tournaments, banquets and catering? Is your food service fast enough to keep players moving “at the turn”? is how Holtzman sets out to tackle the problem.

“We have built a reputation on working with golf course restaurants to maximize their food and beverage operations to create a very profitable business. We work with the management team and supply the systems, menus, and procedures to generate more revenue to the bottom line”, explained Holtzman.

He went on to add, “The golf experience is changing. We supply the edge to stay in competition, satisfying not only the needs of the golfer, but also the needs of the business”.

Profitable Food Facilities operates on a platform geared to revealing measurable progress within a short time frame. In two recent assignments, the food and labour costs were improved by ten percentage points, each within 120 days. This produced an additional US$256,000 annually to the bottom line. In addition, PFF insures that communications are kept open long after the goals have been satisfied.

“PFF understands that in the quest to improve the bottom line, there is a fine line between maximizing profits and taking away from the guest experience. However, that line is always moving. We understand that quality, service and cleanliness are necessary cornerstones in building and maintaining the business. Bridging the gap between the actual profits, and the ultimate potential of the operations, is our job”.

Now is your chance to listen to an expert who can share his wealth of knowledge and experience go either enhance your existing F&B operation or to help you turn it around into a highly viable and profitable part of your cub business.
