Second place finish at the PGA comes close to major sweep in 2013 for KBS
BOULDER, Colo. (August 13th, 2013). KBS continued its terrific performance in majors this season with a 2nd place finish, T5th finish, and T8th finish at the PGA Championship. Going into the year’s final major, KBS was looking for the major sweep after already winning The Masters, The U.S. Open, and The Open Championship in 2013.
KBS had six additional players due to their qualifying at the PGA Professional National Championship earlier this summer. KBS is proud to have won this prestigious PGA tournament three years in a row, all with different players. In total, 23 players trusted KBS shafts at the PGA Championship.
Also this past weekend, the Web.com Tour’s Price Cutter Championship saw an increased number of players in KBS shafts. 40 players trusted KBS shafts which is a record for the five year old brand. One player in particular had a terrific finish. After switching into KBS last week, he had his best performance in three years. This player switched into the KBS Tour-V shaft, a prototype shafts for tour professionals, and finished T7th.
