Sanford, FL – RIFE continued its success on the Champions Tour this past weekend with a victory by John Riegger at The Boeing Classic, held at the TPC Snowqualmie Ridge golf course in Snowqualmie, WA.
The 50-year-old Riegger birdied three of the final four holes on Sunday and sank a 20-footer for birdie on the par-5 18th for a 4-under par 68 and a two-stroke victory over John Cook. Riegger finished the tournament at 15-under 201.
Riegger, who made his fifth start on the Champions Tour at The Boeing Classic first met with RIFE’s V.P. of Tour Operations, Jim Barfield, the week after his T-23rd Place Finish at the 2013 U.S. Senior Open. “John approached me on the putting green and said that while he was rather pleased with his finish at the U.S. Senior Open he wasn’t very pleased at all with the way he was putting,” said Barfield. “He finished T-62nd in Putting Average in a field of 64 players that week. I worked with John for a while and he instantly took to our new ICONIC putter. Based on his finish this week, I’d say it worked out pretty well for him. He finished 1st in Putting Average this week (with a 1.575 average) and collected a paycheck for $300,000.00 and some pretty nice hardware for his trophy shelf at home.”
John Riegger is just one of the many non-endorsed Professional Tour Players who choose to play a RIFE putter even though they’re not paid to play it. “The Tour Players play our putter because it helps them earn a bigger paycheck on Sunday,” said Jim Barfield, V.P. of Tour Operations for RIFE Golf, “and we’re very proud of that. Our RollGroove Technology grips and lifts the ball into an instant forward roll and gets it on line and headed towards the cup quicker than any other putter in the industry. If it’s good enough for the best golfers in the world, you can bet it’s going to help you sink more putts as well.”
About RIFE Golf
RIFE Golf is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. RIFE states, “just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face.” Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGrooveTM faced putters create the truest “no skid” roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
