BELLEVUE, Wash. (August 28, 2013) – Boxgroove (www.boxgroove.com), an inventive, reliable online network offering golfers the opportunity to play private golf courses of their choosing, now includes Frankfort Country Club in Frankfort, Kentucky in the ever-growing portfolio of venues that Boxgroove members can play. For private club members, Boxgroove makes traditional reciprocity easier for you when you travel. Instead of having to ask your Head Golf Professional to make numerous phone calls and then play the waiting game, you can complete the entire reciprocal tee time process online-simple and convenient. For those that don’t belong to a private club, Boxgroove provides a “member for the day” experience at hundreds of private clubs.
“If any of our Boxgroove golfers find themselves traveling to the Bluegrass State, Frankfort Country Club is a true gem that must be played,” says McRedmond Morelli, founder and CEO of Boxgroove. “Over 100 years old and located in central Kentucky, the club has 18 holes situated on gently rolling hill terrain featuring fairways lined with trees and stone walls. Challenging golf shots await the golfer on every hole. This is a golf course many will remember.”
“We are anxious to take advantage of the hundreds of private golf courses that are participating in this network of private golf courses,” said Mike Robinson, the President of Frankfort Country Club. “[Our club] is one of the best kept secrets in central Kentucky and we are very proud of our 100 year history.
“We hope other golfers visiting Kentucky on business or vacation will take the time to play a round at our course.”
Abou Frankfort Country Club
Frankfort Country Club was founded in 1913 as an incentive for factory workers of the Montgomery-Hoge Shoes Company to not join a labor union. After moving the location of the club several times throughout the 1900s, Frankfort Country Club was moved to it’s current location in 1973 as part of a residential development.
The club offers a par-72, 18-hole championship golf course designed by Scruggs and Hammond Inc. In addition to the golf course, Frankfort Country Club has 8 tennis courts (4 clay and 4 hard court) and a sizable swimming pool.
About Boxgroove
More than a tee-time aggregator, reciprocal-club network or fractionalized country-club membership, Boxgroove, founded in 2009, offers players seeking diverse golf experiences the opportunity to forge new golf relationships and play private courses in the United States, which they select from the Boxgroove options. Boxgroove provides members with meaningful opportunities to play private golf clubs around the U.S., a powerful arena for business and social networking, a simple Web-based method of accessing tee times at private golf clubs and a national community that shares passion for the game.
