Golf’s leading luxury-lifestyle magazine offers subscribers the chance to read each issue digitally
Hilton Head, S.C. (August 26, 2013) – LINKS Magazine-the most sophisticated, engaging, and innovative publication in golf-has taken another step into digital publishing with the introduction of its first iPad app.
The recently released app comes just in time for the magazine’s 25th anniversary celebration. The Fall 2013 issue of LINKS will feature a Silver Anniversary section of Top 25 lists of players, architects, resorts, moments, and more. This special section is on top of the magazine’s outstanding coverage of the best and most interesting places, products, and people in golf.
Subscribers to LINKS can download the iPad app for free as part of their paid subscription. It’s as easy as downloading any other app from the Apple Store, and gives subscribers an early look at the latest issue.
“LINKS is extremely excited about our iPad app, especially since we are delivering bonus editorial content, including our new motion-based product LINKS Premier Video. Readers can enjoy three to four minute videos on great clubs such as Old Marsh Golf Club, The Ridge at Back Brook, Martis Camp, and Saucon Valley Country Club, with many more to come,” says President and Publisher Jack Purcell.
The new app is the latest in digital innovations from LINKS. Thousands of readers have already bookmarked the magazine’s website-linksmagazine.com-which showcases articles from the archives as well as reviews and information on the newest courses, clubs, resorts, equipment, and what’s happening throughout the world of golf.
The LINKS website houses the largest selection of in-depth articles on the finest courses and golf clubs in the world (more than 350, with more coming online every day), as well as golf-travel recommendations, hands-on reviews of the latest gear, and a library of past and current articles from the magazine. Among the readers’ favorites are the opinions and musings of George Peper, editor of LINKS Magazine and one of the most highly regarded golf journalists working today. Additionally, there are 250 profiles of the top golf communities in the U.S. and around the world on LinksGolfRealEstate.com.
LINKS is also working on its first fully-digital issue-to come out later this year-and other new products in both print and online that continue the magazine’s 25-year commitment to covering the “best of golf.”
