Heathrow, FL (August 26, 2013) – Proponent Group-golf’s premier membership-based service company for top-echelon instructors and coaches-will host its annual Proponent Group Summit on October 27-29 at Talking Stick Resort and Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona.
This year’s summit, entitled Leadership and Innovation for a Rapidly Changing Industry, will be an incubator to test the company’s unique blend of cutting-edge teaching and coaching information, mixed with a healthy dose of brand-building, marketing, and management training techniques to help members grow their businesses.
A key member benefit of Proponent Group is keeping ahead of the curve in knowing what’s coming next in golf instruction. One of the latest trends is long-term coaching programs rooted in an understanding of motor-skill learning principles, as well as golfer psychology and motivation. The summit will showcase worldwide leaders in this emerging shift.
Speakers will include Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriott of Vision54, who coach many PGA and LPGA Tour stars including Annika Sorenstam; Dr. Rick Jensen, co-creator of the new TPI Coaching Track; Will Robins of Will Robins Golf and one of the most sought after speakers on coaching in the industry; and Fred Shoemaker, author of Extraordinary Golf: The Art of the Possible.
On the business side, the emphasis will be on finding ways instructors can generate income when they’re not on the tee, participating in the mobile revolution, managing time by “learning to say no” and improving speaking presentation skills.
The summit is only open to members of Proponent Group. Instructors interested in attending the summit should contact Lorin Anderson for membership details at 407-878-1235 or at landerson@proponent-group.com or via the web site, www.proponent-group.com.
